Process Serving
The Sydney metropolitan area is defined by Hornsby to the north, Windsor (bridge) to the north west, Penrith (Nepean River) to the west and Sutherland to the south. No mileage applies to process served within the metropolitan area.
Outside the metropolitan area we have Agents who serve the Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains area up to Lithgow. In these areas, mileage is charged from the nearest Local Court. Mileage is charged at 70 cents per km.
Process Service in country areas is arranged through fellow members of the Institute of Mercantile Agents. These Agents are located in most major country cities.
Service fees as follows:
- Local Court
- District Court
- Workers Compensation Commission (classified as non-personal service)
- Service fee $80 and urgent $120
- Family Court
- Supreme Court Bankruptcy
- Land & Environment (classified personal service)
- Service fee $120 and urgent $140
Service fee includes preparation of an Affidavit of Service andlor Affidavit of Attempted Service, if required.
In case we provide conduct money (for Subpoenas) a fee of $5.00 is being charged. Where urgent service is requested, documentation can be collected from your office or the relevant Court (metropolitan area), service effected and the Affidavit of Service returned.
